Plaza de España is a fantastic choice to start your tour of Madrid. Flanked by the Torre de Madrid and the Edificio España, two small architectural treasures, once in Plaza de España, the statues of Don Quijote and Sancho Panza greet visitors with a variety of fantastic options.

Just a few metres away is the Rosaleda del Parque del Oeste, a park with many points of interest such as the Temple of Debod and the Mirador de la Montaña de Príncipe Pío lookout point; and, at the other end, the majestic Jardines de Sabatini gardens, which give you a taste of what is to come on a tour of Madrid de los Austrias old town and its many highlights including Calle Mayor, Plaza de la Villa, Plaza Mayor, Calle de San Justo and Sacramento, Plaza de la Provincia and Santa Cruz, Calle de Toledo, and of course, the majestic Palacio Real and the Palacio de la Ópera, two sites in the centre of Madrid that simply cannot be missed.

The location of Plaza de España is extraordinarily attractive. Plaza de España is also connected to the Gran Vía, the beautiful thoroughfare of Madrid lined with cinemas and theatres. From here, there is a whole host of different ways you can go to see the most exciting parts of Madrid including the shopping area around Calle Fuencarral, the culinary delicacies at the San Antón Market, and even the lively nightlife in Malasaña and Chueca.

If you’re into performing arts, you will love the Gran Vía, which is known as the Broadway of Madrid, a hub with so much variety on offer, such as musicals, theatre, and dazzling film premieres. Similar to Broadway in New York, the lights on Madrid’s Broadway go on every night along Gran Vía, very close to Plaza de España.

Our fitness studio is open 24 hours, is equipped with the most comprehensive equipment, and is free for guests (reservation required). If you are visiting us outside our opening hours, the fitness studio reception will not be supervised and the swimming pool, sauna and changing rooms will be closed. You can access our fitness studio outside our opening hours by contacting reception.

Please note these recommendations:
- It is essential to book to use the pool and to enjoy the massage service and fitness studio. We recommend you book your treatments before you arrive. You can book your visit to the pool or fitness studio a few hours in advance.
- To access the swimming pool, you must wear a swimming costume, flip-flops, and a swimming cap. Swimming caps can be purchased directly at the Wellness Centre reception for €3.
- Each pool session lasts 25 minutes.- Consult our swimming pool opening hours, children’s timetable, and rules and regulations.


Important note:
We have limited the capacity per session to adapt to current requirements. The pool, fitness studio and treatments must be booked in advance in order to control the capacity.
